My family always makes chocolate eggnog which I think is amazing. We use store-bought eggnog and mix one part chocolate milk per two parts eggnog, then add hershey's syrup to taste.
For an adult version you can substitute chocolate liquor for the hershey's.

Almost all storebought eggnog is full of fillers and thickeners. Not that they're bad for you or anything -- at least I don't think they are; they're natural plant-derived gums like guar gum and xanthan gum -- but it just kinda bugs me when I find them in my dairy stuff. I like unadulterated dairy.
Whether you choose to make your own or use the storebought, our family's tradition is to put about a half-gallon of eggnog into a large glass bowl, then add a pint or two of good quality vanilla ice cream. Blend it with a hand-mixer until it's not quite smooth -- you still want little bitty lumps of ice cream in it so it feels frosty in your mouth. Next (you'll have to wait 'til next year for this part), stir in Jack Daniels or Southern Comfort to taste. My taste says the more the merrier.
Drink, enjoy, and repeat.
Then there was the year that my cousin offered to make the eggnog while the aunts and uncles visited in the other room, then secretly substituted everclear for the Jack... That was an awesome year. All us cousins learned a lot of previously untold family history that night, just by sitting back and listening as our parents tongues got progressively looser...

Awesome, I bet that was a fun year!
I've seen some organic versions, but I haven't looked that close either. I didn't know anyone would want any
I think I should try regular before I give chocolate a shot and that recipe looks easy and naughty
Thanks gals
