A dumb question about tights

If I were to dress my kid in a skirt with tights, does the onesie go over or under the tights?

Is it diaper, onesie, tights or diaper, tights then onesie?

I am such an idiot.

I've done it both ways. I like to put the tights under the onesie because otherwise the tights have a tendency to droop and the crotch ends up around her knees. The onesie keeps them snug.

I usually put the tights under the onesie for the same reason. Unless it has a ruffle butt.. then that's outside of course!

ps. You are NOT an idiot! I didn't know either at first. lol  It really doesn't matter either way.

Yeah that's what I do too.  Onesie over tights to hold em up.  Tights are so nice!!  I found some on clearance at Carter's then at Sears. Like 2 bucks a pair!

Sigh...I love my little boy but I hope for a girl next time around so I can dress her in tights.  There is nothing more cute than a baby girl in ruffle butt tights and black pattent leather shoes.

Same here!  And, I'm so glad someone posted this so that I know if for future reference!  I know I could ask SIL or BFF, but now I won't have to!

haha..B has been wearing tights many times and it has never occurred to me to put them on under the onesie! gah, totally learned something just now

Lurking here, but I have to say that when I did tights under the onesie, the tights actually pulled down on the diaper and we had major leakage! So ever since then, I've done diaper, then onesie, then tights. Works for us! I would suggest trying both ways and seeing what you like better.

I like tights then onesie because it keeps everything in place.
