As soon as I hit post I'm going to go look at the nutritional info. I figured someone here could answer my question though.

LO had one of those Danimals smoothie cup things that kids can hold themselves. My friend gave it to her when we were at her house. DD fa-reaked out in excitement. She kept signing more when it was gone! I'm guessing they're full of sugar and juice (we haven't done juice and only do plain yogurt), but my friend had thrown out the box already w the nutritional info. Long story short, anyone know how much junks in these? Or are they not that bad?

Re: Danimals "smoothie"...good or bad?
They are not the best but I give them to DD.
She has eating issues and will not eat yogurt....ever! We go to occupational therapy and her OT suggested we give her drinkable yogurt since she will drink from a straw and the consistency is thinner than yogurt. (She gags or throws up when she eats regular thicker yogurt)
I think they are high in sugar and very sweet and I wouldn't eat it (too sweet for my tastebuds) but she likes it.
They actually contain less than 1% juice, but they do contain sugar. I don't have any in the house right now, but its an average amount. Not a ton of sugar, but enough that they definitely wouldn't be considered a "low sugar" food.
My DD hated WCM when we first transitioned her over, but loved these smoothies, so I used to mix half of one with WCM in her sippy cup and she happily drank it. She started liking milk a few months ago so I stopped buying the smoothies because it became expensive and I wanted her to drink the milk plain and not rely on "disguised" milk.
I think they are definitely a treat and shouldn't be thought of as a source of calcium or nutrition, but I don't think one a day or every few days will ruin your LO for life.
