What's for lunch - you and LO

I'm having trouble coming up with lunch for DS.  He's big on real food, but I just don't know what to give him.  He's already had ham, pasta, and diced apples so far this week.  Just curious what everyone is doing.

  • We haven't started adding in lunch yet, but DD is having tofu & broccoli for dinner

  • I made sweet potato fries last night, and he loved them. I used cinnamon and a *tiny* bit of brown sugar for taste.

  • We had leftover shepherds pie muffins for lunch today.  Thin crust (just your basic flour and butter crust) filled with the meat/veggies (ground beef, red peppers, onions, carrots, peas, corn), and topped with a scoop of mashed potatoes with cheese sprinkled on top.  When we had these for dinner two nights ago she ate almost 1 1/2!  For lunch she almost ate a whole one!  I guess now that's she's moving around more she needs to eat more.

  • Nothing fantastic today.  Her lunch is corn & butternut squash.

  • I wish I was as on top of things as the rest of you. DS had pureed pears and I had a grapefruit and some cookies.

  • Sam is eating an avocado and I'm having an avocado sandwich. Yum.

  • I had lunch at Chilis. Nora had a mix of beef, carrots, and potato.

  • I give DD a green veggie and a orange veggie everyday for lunch. Sometimes I mix in pastina or quinoa. She also likes whole wheat crackers.

For orange we have pumpkin, squash, carrots, sweet potaotes.

For green we have zucchini, broccoli, peas, greens beans, asparagus, brussel sprouts.

If she enjoys those and wants more I might give 1/2 a yogurt or a fruit. She also likes pears or apples in the mesh feeder.

And for me... today I had the BEST spinach salad with mandarin oranges, slivered almonds, carrots, and balsamic. Loved it, can't wait to have more tomorrow!
