For those considering a City Mini Double

I wanted to share update on our double stroller search in case anyone else was in the same boat as us. After looking at our options and test driving strollers, we were set to purchase the City Mini 2011 today. Then DH informed me that the city mini 2012 would be making it's debut soon. (See video below that he found if you want details on the updates - it focuses on the single, but they introduce the double at the very end and it pretty much has all of the upgraded features.)

So that left us with three obvious options: 1. Buy the 2011 today at regular price 2. Buy a cheapie for now and wait a month and buy the 2011 at a discounted price or 3.  Buy a cheapie for now and wait until the 2012 debuts. So he called the company to find out how long it would take and the customer service representative advised us to wait until it debuts.

He (the rep.) said it was supposed to come out in February, but it looks more like March right now. He also said the updates were well worth the wait and that it would only cost about $50.00 more than the 2011 version costs right now. So we are buying the cheapie for now and will use that one as a back up for grandma's/incase something should happen to city mini double once we buy it etc.

I was pressuring DH to order the BOB the other night and after test driving it I can honestly say - it's awesome, EXCEPT it just isn't small enough when folded to fit in the back of our van like we need it to. I'm hoping the cheapie we buy in the mean time will fold up easily! Thanks again for all your help/input- you ladies have been so helpful!!

We have the City Mini double 2008 and love it. I'll have to watch the video; I'm curious to see what the upgrades are!
