Wool soakers

Have any of you ever knitted your own woolies?  If so, how difficult was it?  Could a beginner handle this project?  Thanks!

    Yes, I've knitted soakers, skirties, and longies. I found them to be very easy. You can check out free patterns on ravelry, or google easy [insert wool cover] pattern. The soaker I actually knit flat.
