Multiples

xp ~ lorex monitor?

First, I know I don't have multiples but I am envious of you all that do, it must be so rewarding and exciting and I hope you don't mind me posting here.  Lorex 2 camera video monitors.....I am not sure how popular they are or what kind of rating they get because I have a specific question that their website is a little vague on.  I have a 3 year old and a 4 month old.  My question is, if I get the 2 camera video baby monitor, does it have an a/c plug for the camera parts or are they strictly battery-operated?  I can not tell from their website. Do any of you have one you could provide feedback on?

Re: xp ~ lorex monitor?

  • We have the Lorex Live Snap and I love it!  The cameras do have A/C plug ins which is great because the battery life of the cameras is only a couple of hours.  (I sometimes move a camera because I separate DDs for naps and sometimes it will last through the nap, sometimes not...depends on the length of their nap and how long they play before they go to sleep. :-)

  • Our Lorex system is awesome and doesn't interrupt our wi-fi whatsoever. Each camera has an AC plug which my DH installed through the wall so the cords are not exposed (cannot be pulled by mischevious LOs :) I love how well I can see them- even with the night vision I can tell if their eyes are open or closed. • We have the Lorex also.  No interuption with our wi-fi.  Both camera and the monitor have plugs for electricity.

  • Thank you all so much for the feedback!  I truly appreciate it.
  • We have it and love it, however...

While it works well, no wi-fi issues, cameras are great, love the ac adapter, etc.  we've had some issues.  the plug that connects the receiver to the base broke on our first one, so we had to get it replaced through them.  it took forever to get a replacement, their customer service has been a nightmare to work with, and we are now on our fourth monitor with them  (I think they sent us refurbished ones as replacements, and this time I insisted on a new one.) One of the replacements didn't even work right out of the box.

SO, if you can keep it from braking you'll love it, but if you have to deal with them for a replacement, it's a big pain.

  • Love it and they plug in which is good because they battery life isn't so great.
