So with my first i tried breastfeeding. Ddidnt quite go the way we wanted. Looking back now he just wasnt as hungry as often as i was try to feed him. When i turned 21 i decided t get a boob job, now i dont if that had anything to do with the breastfeeding not going as well either so i guess what im trying to say is how do i get over this fear that its not going to go as well this time around (14w2d)

Breast implants and the surgery itself can certainly affect breastfeeding- if ducts were severed - ie w/ a periauricular incision, and the capacity of the breast is decreased d/t the implant.  Can I recommend attending a breastfeeding class during pregnancy and finding a lactation counselor/consultant prior to delivery so you can see her soon after hospital d/c to address anything that comes up.  GL!

Definitely talk to a LC and your dr about the breast surgery.  Any breast surgery can interfere with BFing, though I've heard that reductions do more so than augmentations because the tissue (with the milk ducts) are removed.  Everyone needs a breast feeding class anyway so definitely go to some of those.  But mostly remember every single baby is different.  You may have a totally unique experience this time, nothing like your first baby.  Try to start fresh with this baby and don't dwell on what happened last time.  This one might nurse like a champ!

thank you for the repiles. I did go to one with my first and they were very helpful, but they did make me feel like i wasnt trying hard enough (i saw them a total of 10 times in a month and half).....so im just really anxious cuz i do want to do this......
