umbilical cord blood donation question..

Anyone know if you can delay cord clamping (waiting until it stops pulsating to clamp & cut) and still donate the cord blood?

I donated mine last year, and I believe it is just up to your doc who is delivering. When you get in-processed, they usually bring out all the paperwork for donation (unless you signed it in advanced) I would totally bring it up at that point.

Talk to the attending physician, since it's not 100% certain that it will be your OB and just let them know you would like to wait a couple minutes before cutting the cord...it doesn't effect the blood at all so I don't think why they would have a problem with it.
