My c-section was scheduled for 36 weeks and 3 days. 1 week before, I was at my last appointment and they told me that due to scheduling (with Anna's doctors for her spine) I would be having my c-section early - 35 weeks, 6 days. I was so exhausted by that point that I don't know if I would have made it those extra 4 days.
I made it to 35 weeks exactly - I was really uncomfortable by then but attribute it to alot of water weight gain and the fact that it was hot this past summer.

My c-section was scheduled for 35w6d. The biggest problem I was having at that point was sciatic pain that made it difficult to walk. I needed a cane but I didn't have one. My boys totalled 17 lbs. at birth. I could have gone a little longer.
There was actually debate between the MFM and my OB about when I should deliver. The OB pushed for 35w6d and the MFM thought I should keep them cooking. Unfortunately I didn't realize the extent of this debate until the day of the C-section as they were talking amongst themselves and not really keeping me in the loop. I got to the hopsital and the nurse said, "We weren't sure if we would see you today." I couldn't believe it. I almost turned around and walked out!
Ultimately I did and do feel that 35w6d was the right time for me. I was afraid of two things. 1- Going into labor and not getting my OB for the c-section. 2- I was afraid of in utero accidents. There really wasn't much room left in there and I was starting to feel like they were safer on the outside.
ETA: If I was caring for a 2 year old throughout my pregnancy I think I would have been singing a different tune about my ability to go further! I would have been done. My whole job for much of the pregnancy was to eat and lie around and watch tv.
35w1d here. By my 34 week appt they still hadn't scheduled my c-section and I was BEGGING them to. I was so uncomfortable - couldn't eat and breathe at the same time, it was exhausting just turning over in bed, etc.
hang in there!

I went to 33, but my aunt went to 37, and that was 25 years ago. She was on hospital bedrest for the last 6 weeks, but yeah. Ouch.
I *might* have gone longer if I had been on bedrest instead of just observation, but we'll never know.

I optimistically asked my Dr how long she would let me go for last week, and she said between 35-37weeks max, she said after that there is no benefit for the babies or the mother. I carried my singleton to 38 weeks and I was uncomfortable then...I can't imagine 37 weeks with 3!!!
