CPR training - such comfort

We did our CPR training yesterday and I feel so much better about being ready.  I hadn't done this taining since middle school (nearly 20 years ago!), and remembered it being overwhelming.  Well, 20 years changes a lot, the training is really pretty simplistic and I feel very confident about this.  Hopefully it's a skill we never need, but I'm glad to know it.

Re: CPR training - such comfort

  • It is amazing how often the guidelines change. I took the class a few years ago and it was completely different from a few years before that!

  • We took ours a few weeks ago at the hospital. They teach the American Heart Associatoin Version. It's not incredibly different, but it does differ from the Red Cross version that I took in middle/high school.

  • Glad you took it!  So much has changed since then.  I chose to keep up my certification every 2 years but plan to renew a little early this year b/c I want it to coinciide at 4-6 months when we start feeding DS solids.
