nausea anyone?

My baby is about 6 1/2 months now, and I still feel nauseated sometimes, especially while breastfeeding in the morning.  This has been going on since delivery, and I'm definitely not pregnant again.  Does anyone else experience this?  I haven't had a postpartum period yet, and I still have significant pain during intercourse as well.  I love my baby more than anything, but I am wondering when/if my body will feel normal again?

Re: nausea anyone?

  • Sometimes, but I have horrible eating habits.

Is there a possibility you're pregnant?

Nope, we've been using condoms and I POAS to be absolutely sure.  Plus, it's been an ongoing problem.

  • I have heard that BF just does that to some people. Unfortunately, nothing goes back to normal until you stop BF. It just delays the return of everything hormonal to normal levels. It's part of why BFing for so long is such an awesome gift/sacrifice lol. :)

  • YES.

    The past few days, especially.

    I'm terrified I'm pregnant though.

    :( lol

(I'd be ecstatic, just a bit shocked)

  • I feel nauseous in teh mornings too at least once a week. I don't eat until after I'm ready in the AM so maybe I'm just really hungry? But sometimes when I go to eat, I feel like I'm going to puke. It sucks. And I'm definitely not preggo. You have to have sex to be pregnant :-D

PS - I don't BF anymore and I've had several periods so I'm not sure our nausea is related but you aren't alone!

  • yes! I think mine is mostly related to being hungry due to BF. It's the worst in the morning when I have a really empty stomach.

  • every morning-- I heard it has something to do with dehydration and then the BFing is taking more liquid out?
