DD has a diaper rash I can't get rid of. I've tried several creams including the one that worked wonders when she had amoxicillin and nothing is working. She has little red dots, which are diff too. She also is leaking thru diapers at night and waking up soaked. I have her in a size larger pampers baby dry. I pull the up in the front and secure them tightly and she still wakes up wet.
Any recs for something that has worked for you?
Re: Diaper rash cream and overnight diaper recs
DD just had her first really nasty diaper rash and we started coating her in aquaphor and it got rid of it in 2 days! It also is great to use regularly at night since it creates kind of a barrier between their skin and wetness.
If it's persistent against creams, is it possible it's a yeast infection? If so, you might have to have a prescription?
She had some yeast at her 6 mo appt and this looks diff. I'll try the aquaphor. Thanks!

We use Huggies Overnight Diapers. I can't really recommend any particular diaper rash cream though because I haven't found any one in particular that works 100% of the time.
DD gets diaper rash pretty frequently and has since birth. I don't know why other than she might just have very sensitive skin. I find the best treatment is 1) lots of time to let her skin air dry and 2) use cotton balls and water to cleanse her bottom, as opposed to wipes.

I'll have to look at those, there have been a few nights where she's woken up in the morning with her back a little wet from a soaked diaper.

I have a sample of this and it's not working....we are on day 3. It goes to show that fit totally depends on the baby. And what worked on 2 other rashes isn't working this time. Ugh. Guess I have to keep a million cremes!

so true! I was thinking this earlier because PP said aquaphor never worked so she got the CA baby cream. Well the CA baby is what we normally use and it did nothing for her bad rash, then aquaphor cleared it up immediately! too funny.
