G choked at lunch today

So scary!  I think spaghetti-o's are gross...they smell awful and taste nasty, but DH bought a can a while back for Gavin and he thought they were the greatest thing ever, so he gets some occasionally.  That's what he wanted today.  So while we're sitting at the table, I heard him make a weird noise, and I looked up from my lunch and he's sitting them with this panicked look on his face and his mouth wide open, like he does when he takes a bite of something that's too hot and he freaks out a little.  I told him to just spit it out, and then he gagged and I realized that it wasn't just hot.  As soon as I jumped up, he coughed out a meatball on him own and started crying.  I felt horrible, and my heart was racing!  No more spaghetti-o's with meatballs in this house!

Oh my gosh, that's one of my biggest fears! I'm so glad he's okay.

Oh my goodness!  So scary!  I know I know what to do, but in the actual situation, I totally freak.  DD started to choke on a sticker that Santa gave her.  We were at the mall and when I put her in her seat, she started to gag and threw up phlegm and a sticker.  It was as I was pulling her back out of her seat to do the Heimlich (sp?) and I was so relieved.

That's so scary. My niece choked on those damn meatballs too. I'm glad everything is ok!

Oh wow, that had to be so scary for both of you.  I'm glad G is ok!
