So my kid who used to absolutely LOVE bath time has started to hate it within the last week or two. It was a 180. If I even ask her about taking a bath she starts saying "no" over and over. When I put her in she stands there and screams (won't sit) or tries to climb out. It sucks. And I swear she hasn't had a near drowning or anything.
Has anyone else been through this? I'm thinking of giving her baths during the day now instead of before bed. Maybe it's the association?
My solution thus far has been forcing the bath since, you know, toddlers get gross.
Re: bath time hell
E only pulls this *** if the water isn't the right temp.
We had to heat up the bath.
This is exactly what happened with us. I couldn't figure out WTF his problem was but then I made the bath warmer and he was back to his happy self.
Good stuff guys. I've tried adjusting the water temp and it hasn't seemed to make a difference. That was my first guess.
I tried luring her in with toys, but perhaps a new shiny one would work better instead of the same old ones. We got some of those fizz tablets that color the water to go in her stocking...
She doesn't seem to like the shower. It kind of freaks her out.
I guess I'll try climbing in with her the next time if she's freaking out. Hair washing is the worst, so maybe skipping that a few nights will get her excited about bath time again.
Thanks!
