This board is extremely quiet these days... granted, it is the Holiday Season, and most everyone is busy preparing for their festivities. Not sure what my excuse is for not being around, though, since there's not much festivities happening here.
I've been trying to get gifts knitted in time for Christmas, but it doesn't look like that's happening. I've got a pile of things to mail still, so I'm sure the recipients won't get their gifts until after Christmas at this point... I feel bad, but I've also been waiting for addresses! And I've been so tired lately, that I've had no energy to bake all my usual Christmas goodies. I did make some popcorn balls tonight, though. Besides those, I'll only be doing a couple dozen butter tarts on Christmas Eve (they never last very long in this house, and I don't have the energy to make enough to last a week!). I still have some shopping to do, cards to write and mail, and work on top of that... I will be so glad when New Years Eve arrives, and I will be officially done with work for a year!
Which reminds me that I still have to get hubby to "pay" me from our business so I can qualify for benefits... 0_o''
Wah wah wah.....
Besides all my woes and worries, I'm getting really excited to meet my little Logan! I keep telling him how excited I am, but that he has to stay where he is until he's good and ready! I worry that somehow my excitement will make him want to come too early! I'm also excited to get the nursery all cleaned up and set up; it's a storage room for junk right now. I'll have lots to do while I'm waiting for my boy to arrive, but that's good! It should help keep my mind off the waiting part.
Well, if I don't hear from anyone before Christmas, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday, and get to spend lots of time with the people you love!
Merry Christmas!
Re: Not much going on, eh?
Hey! This board is SOOOOO BORING, but I honestly think it's because its kind of hard to navigate on this site, do you agree??
How far along are you with your LO. I hope you have an amazing holiday season, and the LO arrives just on time .... Gotta thank our benefits for amazing maternity leave we get, compared to the US mammas.
Keep in touch!!
PS, Where abouts are you
Your belly pic in your siggy is sooo cute. I LOVE that top!
Thanks lady!! Its from H&M, cheapy cheapy.
Sweet might have to check it out.
Yeah, I'm definitely thankful that we get such good benefits! I just have to get through one more week of work, and then I get to enjoy the last few weeks! I'm currently sitting at 34 weeks, due around the beginning of February.
I'm from Kelowna, BC, how about you? It's not very Christmas-like here, with no snow...
This board is slow, but I agree, it's pretty well hidden, and I think the majority of users on this website are from the States. I'm actually just killing time right now while hubby wraps my gifts in the bedroom... I could get up and start doing some dishes, but I hate doing dishes on my own! Everything is ready for our "big" day at his mom's tomorrow. We always spend Christmas Day with his mom. This year Christmas is delayed with my side of the family, since just about everyone is sick right now! Gotta love being sick during the holidays...
