Fluoride

Dd had her 6 month appointment today and pedi said she should start a fluoride supplement since we are still EBF. I am not sure I feel like this is a necessity and the stuff I am finding on the Internet is a little scary. Does anyone have knowledge, articles, links, etc, either way, about fluoride?

I'm sorry I have no experience with this, but why does your LO need fluoride?  I've never heard of this!

Please do some research on the dangers of fluoride. It's actually being removed from many city water supplies now as people are becoming aware of how toxic it actually is. I'm a dental hygienist so I know all too well about the "positive" arguments for fluoride use but it's ironically very harmful for teeth, bones, nervous system etc. I don't drink fluoridated water and I certainly wouldn't give it to me LO.
