This time I'm only bringing NB. We brought both for DS1, but he was just under 7 lbs, so even NB was a little big at first (he actually wore NB for about 5-6 weeks). I'm sure this one will be similar in size, but even if he is bigger, NB should still work. I've seen people mention on the boards that their larger babies still wore NB for at least the first several days/couple of weeks. If it makes you feel more prepared, bring an outfit in each size.

This is exactly what I am doing. Aside from my one friend who had a 10lb 15 oz baby (vaginally, no GD & no tearing by the way) I have yet to see a baby who doesn't fit into a newborn outfit. Some don't fit for long, but I would say that close to 100% of babies will at least fit it for a coming home outfit.

Started our exploration into the world of international adoption June 2012. We have no idea what this is going to look like but we are excited to find out!
DS was 6lbs5oz and was swimming in his NB size sleeper when we left. I'd PIP if it wasn't such a PITA. pretty funny looking.
So I think I'll just bring a NB this time too.
DH will be going home to get things, and my mom will be staying there too, so if I somehow deliver a giant (compared to DS!) then they can bring me something else. no big.
LO's homecoming outfit is a dress that's 0-3mo. If it's a little big I'll just roll up the sleeves. I don't think I really have any NB clothing other than maybe a onesie or two. We think she's going to be bigger because I was 7lb 13oz and hubby was 9lb 10oz.

I packed a newborn. If I start getting closer to 40w I'll probably throw in a 0-3 just in case. Both of my first two went home in a newborn ( 6lbs, and 7lbs 5 oz).

I packed a few NB & 0-3, as well as a couple preemie onesies that were gifted to us. That's just to be on the safe side since our last u/s showed LO measuring small, my bump is TINY, and DH was a little thing when he was born. Better safe than sorry, I guess.
