What are your favorite toys for one year olds?

What did (or does) your one year old play with a ton? Ellie is outgrowing her infant toys and I'm not sure which direction to go!

At that age, H was obsessed with Mega Blocks and the cookie jar shape sorter.

My niece was always playing with her M&D dessert tower/puzzle thing.

Crawling through issue paper and climbing in laundry baskets were also great for hours of entertainment.

Board books, my old magazines (pictures and tearing), and water.  He got a water table a few weeks after his birthday and it was a HUGE hit.

What is it about Little People? Ellie loves them too. She has the nativity scene but got another couple bath sets for Christmas.

And we got her a pull toy for Christmas, and I'm fairly certain she is getting a push/ride on toy from one set of grandparents.

I've noticed that J is really into making items fit into other items lately, so I'm thinking of getting him the Melissa and Doug shape sorting box also.

She also LOVES cars, so cute. she vrooms them all around the house.
