Allergic reaction

I got exposed to something (unknown what it actually is, but maybe mold?) and my face and neck have broken out in a rash/hives. Super fun. 

Anyway, I understood Benadryl would dry up my milk supply so I haven't taken any; but I just read on kellymom that there isn't any research to support this link. Hmmm.....

Anyone out there take Benadryl while BF and if so, what effect did it have?

I take a daily antihistamine with no problems.  I have also taken Benadryl without any problems.  It sounds like you would only need it for a day or two at most, so you should be fine.  Like pp said, just drink lots of water.
