Won't Take A Bottle

DS is almost 8 months old. The past two weeks have been a struggle to get him to take and finish a bottle. He is formula fed and has four 6oz bottles a day. He also has three solid meals a day. He has only been taking between 2-4 oz at a feeding, usually finishing one full 6oz bottle a day. I would say he is taking 16-20 oz a day. Is this ok? Other moms I have asked say it is normal for the amount to decrease. He is happy, healthy, has wet and dirty diapers. Is this normal? What has your experience been?

DS has been doing this for the past few weeks and I think it is just because he's teething. It make it very difficult for him to finish his bottles.

As long as he has plenty of wet diapers then he's fine!

DS also varies in the amount of milk he drinks from month to month but it's never been a problem.

He was drinking 6-8 oz bottles for a while and now he only drinks about 4 oz when he's not teething and about 2-3 oz when he is teething.

We are 100% going through this too - she eats the exact same as your son (6 oz, 4x a day) and now only takes about 3 oz each feeding.  I was told this is completely normal (my MIL is also a pediatrician).  I think my DD is teething really bad beacuse she's just all over not herself - from feeding to fussiness to sleeping (or lack-thereof!!)
