I missed it again!

Thomas rolled over for the very first time today, and I missed it!  Silly me was at brunch with some friends.  I missed Rosie's first roll because I was taking a shower while my mom watched her.  Can you believe I'm a SAHM and missed it with both of my kids?  My working mom friends felt much better after I shared that.

Maybe it is because I know I will miss lots of firsts.  But I think ehh, does a "first" happen if no one sees it?  Who knows how many true first steps and rolls and words happen in the crib or while you run to the bathroom.  It is just as exciting the first time YOU see your kid do it.  I can't believe he is old enough to roll though, time is flying!
