Uggs- how to waterproof?

My dd was just gifted a pair of hot pink Uggs with bows on the back for Christmas. A ridiculously over the top pair of shoes for a 4 y/o girl, but whatever. Not my money and I'm sure she'll LOVE them.

Anyhow, I know I need to probably spray them or do something before she wears them. Some sort of waterproofing spray or something? What works for Uggs?

I have black ones and DD has black sketcher like uggs and the hold up pretty good, but then I dont know about stains on a pink colour?  They were never sprayed and I can usually just brush the mud off.

I used the Uggs brand spray on mine. I live in NY and haven't had any issues.

I sprayed my Emus with waterproof spray and they have held up really well.

Is there special spray that you have to use for suede, or is just any old waterproofing spray good enough?

Just checked my mud room cabinets and I have two brands of waterproofing spray: kiwi and soft sol and both are good for a multitude of fabrics and leathers.  They're what I've used on my (non Ugg) suede boots.

The kiwi brand specifically lists suede and the other I bought with my newest pair of suede boots and was recommended to me by the sales girl.

I use the kiwi brand suede spray on my uggs and got it from target. I did two coats and it has been good so far.

i use the ugg brand.  got my first two pairs in 2008, and have only sprayed them once, when i first got them.  no issues.

I have Sofsole Waterproofer spray from Famous Footwear. You can spray it on anything even faux suede and it repels water and stains.
