is Venison Safe?

My DH got his deer this season!! Unfortunately, I didn't get mine :(

But anyhow.. we had venison bologna, sausage and steaks made up by a professional.  Are they safe to eat during pregnancy? I am hesitant and Haven't eaten any yet.  Didn't know if any of you fine ladies had an answer?

    Should be fine so long as everything is well cooked. I didn't get a dear this season either, bummer. Luckily my Uncle did so I get to have venison as well :)

    I can't imagine it being a problem. You just don't want to eat it unless it's is well done. If you ever have major doubts, just ask your dr.

    My DH smoked our venison sausage last night.  I actually asked the Dr. at my first appointment about that & she said it was fine to eat.

    It is totally fine as long it is handled/cooked thoroughly.  I've already been enjoying some!  The meat is a great lean alternative to beef Yes  Enjoy!!!

    The only hamburger we eat is deer burger, so this baby has already had plenty. I think I missed your intro...Congratulations on your pregnancy!!
