Is this a germ/health hazard or am I over thinking this?
Is it okay to just clean them really good between kids or should we just use different ones? And if you do clean them, how do you go about doing that?
I'm a little concerned using the same ones on a 3 yr old and a newborn, so I registered for another set, but I'm interested to hear other suggestions.
Re: using same nail clippers on 2 kids?
When I was growing up, there was one set of nail clippers for the whole family...
But, to answer your question, I use the same clippers on both kids. I guess you could wipe them down with alcohol between kids, but clippers are pretty cheap and you could just buy a second pair if you are worried about germs.
Or, move DD #1 up to small regular clippers, which cost a dollar or two. Sanitize your baby clippers and then use them for child #2.
We all share the same nail clippers, I've never thought twice about it. Is that weird?
If you're really concerned you could soak them in some alcohol for a few minutes.
I hope its not weird, because we all share, too.

I've never even cleaned ours... but it makes sense to!
The girls have their own because we keep them in their bathroom to cut nails after bath. I have my own in my bathroom for the same reason but it never occured to be not to share.
I do however replace theirs every 6-12 months when I notice them getting dull.
I feel 100% better about the fact that we all share one pair now that Nurse Taytee said she shares, too.

Yeah, Im still using the "baby" ones on DD, so I"ll probably just clean them really good and pass them down to DD#2, then buy a regular pair for DD#1 since her nails are that much stronger.
Thanks everyone!
