We are going to feed DD hypoallergenic formula and I will pump for 24 hours to see if she has a milk protein intolerance. Poor thing has such tummy issues and is messing with my supply as it is, so hopefully the pump will actually help (she was taking small feeds. Her tummy troubles have been going on since week 3 or so, but became pretty bad after her vaccines. Pedi thinks her current issues (worse than normal) might be a reaction to the oral Rotavirus vaccine. But may be milk protein. I just cut dairy out for the 2nd time (didn't see any improvement the first time). Why do I feel like such a failure? On the one hand, if we get good results from this, I know what is wrong and can fix it. But I really don't want it to be dairy.

Re: Feeding Nutramigen for 24 hours :(
Our beautiful son was born July 2008.
2010: 2 IVF's,1 FET = 2 BFN's, 1 c/p
Feb 2011-Unmedicated FET= BFP!! DS #2 born Oct 2011!!.
Blood and extra fussiness:( And diarrhea...no curds and very liquidy/slimy poop. Not green though and I know there isn't an oversupply anymore. Used to be though. Her crappy eating since the tummy issues got worse has decreased my supply.
I did 18 days of no dairy (obvious or hidden) and didn't see any difference. Then, I think it was oversupply b/c I really had one and had for weeks. Poor baby was gaining 3 oz/day! Then we regulated it and were still having gas pain/issues. Then I added dairy back and 10 days later, we had blood in poop and extra fussiness. Started 1 day after vaccinations, too...and she did get a 100.4 fever from them. I suspect Rtoavirus vaccine, honestly.
And don't worry about weaning...I am very sad that I am not nursing her right now. It hurts my heart and I can't wait for this experiment to be over. In all honesty, she has affected my supply so much with barely eating that I think the pumping might help and I am focusing on that. She starts daycare in a few weeks, so this will give me some milk for day 1.
