What are some names you love but can't use because you associate them with someone/thing that you don't want to name your child after. Not necessarily bad, just knowing that it's in the back of your mind as you are name hunting...

Oliver - I would name DS2 this, but DH hates it for unknown reasons (see a pattern here??)

Lilah or Lorelei (our last name starts with L and it would sound ridiculous)
Charlotte (sounds too close to scarlett- the name of a crazy family nutbag that shot some guy)
Winter (My name is Autumn so I feel like that would be too cheesy)
Luke (DH is Luke and he thinks it would be confusing)
ETA: added a name
Reading through these, I realize I missed some...
I also love the name Alex, but can't use it because it's too close to our niece's name, Alexis who goes by Lex.
BFP #2: 1.30.12 - missed m/c found on 2.27.12 - D&C 3.1.12 @8w

You can still use Finley, we dont mind at all! It'd be cute to have a big Finn and little Finn"
Nathan - Ex boyfriend
Sadie - My inlaws dog
Kasey - family dog
Kendall - Relative
Kay - Family Drama
Aurora, Bode, and Ty - don't go well with last name
Noelle - Hubby said no.
Most of mine are family names of people that are still alive (generally Jewish don't name after the living, we arent religious though) but a name running more then once in my family would be odd.
Kevin and Brian- both are uncles
Andrew- distant family for us but close for my grandparents, so it would still be weird
Eric- DHs cousins name
Katrina... name of my mom's boyfriend's ex who practically stalked her, and that was before the hurricane, so that pretty name is dead to me now.
Oh, and I like the names Sam and Ben, but they were my dogs.
Benjamin-my ex
Elizabeth or any variation-my DH's ex
Walker- my cousin's son; also my grandpa's name

Imagine a love so strong that saying hello and goodbye the same day was worth the sorrow.Emma - Too popular now
Olivia - See above
Hannah - Sister has claimed it
Gregory - ex bf
Bethany - his ex
Noah - Sounds like Noah's Arc with our last name.
Graham/Blake/ or any one syllable name - sounds funny since our last name is 1 syllable and only three letters
Any name with a Y at the end - since DS is named Anthony, I don't want to name our next child with a name ending in Y. Rules out quite a bit.
For example, Ansley - one of my favorite names. Has a Y ending and also sounds way to similar to Anthony.
Marley - I've loved this name for YEARS...but I'm not sure that I can use it due to the association with the dog from the book and movie, Marley & Me
Korissa - a name my ex loved and suggested to me for future children; he felt he could never use it because he had told his BFF about it and then his BFF used it; I still really like it and it works well as a smoosh name (as much as I'm not fond of most smoosh names) that I could use to honour two of my really close relatives (an aunt named Clarissa and a cousin named Korinna). Anyways, it's totally out because it was first suggested by an ex. That would be weird.
Brayden - another name that I've liked for a really long time (I'm talking 10+ years) but everyone seems to dislike it on here because it is one of those -aden names. I also know a few too many.

I LOVE the name Gage but wondered if anyone would even remember it being from PS. Not that is matters since DH hates it AND one of my best friend's last names is gager....so it would be too weird.
