Augmentin while BFing

Anyone taken this while BFing?  If so, what dose?  I had a UTI about 5 weeks pp, and took 500 mg (or whatever the unit is) 2X a day.  Now I have a sinus infection and my primary care doc gave me a script for the same thing, but 3x a day.  Wondering if at this higher dose it is still ok.  I am going to research and ask the pharmacist too, but thought maybe someone on here would have had it for something.  I am nervous because this doc is new to me and also told me I could take Sudafed, and when I explained I am nursing she said, "yeah..." and I said, "I think it reduces supply, doesn't it?"  And her response was "oh, I guess it might... yeah."  Ummm....

I have a copy of Medications and Mother's Milk from when I worked at an OB/GYN office along side the LC. Per the 2006 edition:

Augmentin: 

Lactation risk category L1 - which is the preferred category

Adult concerns: diarrhea, rash, thrush

Pediatric concerns: none reported, but observe for diarrhea, rash

Preferred dosing is 875mg twice a day ( 1750mg per day),

your dose at 500 x 3 = 1500, so you are good.

Thank you ladies so much!!!!  I also left my Dr a VM...  I think she will think I am crazy now.  Oh well.  I am paranoid out of love for my kid!  Thanks again.

I just wanted to say when I first read the subject I thought it said "augmentation while BFing" and I thought WTH would you want a boob job while BFing? LOL!
