How old is your LO? Your LO will tell you how much, so start with a large bottle, 8 ounces or so and your LO will stop when full. As for how often that too is up to your LO and how old they are. Chloe has been eating 4 hours or more apart for a while now and her bottles are different sizes at different times of the day. It's trial and error...good luck!
Every baby is different. I know everyone says that but I swear it's true. Ours is almost 7 months old, weights almost 18 lbs and takes 4 7 oz bottles a day. Sometimes she'll have an extra 4 oz in before bedtime but usually it's an even 28 oz a day and she's set. She also gets 2 solids a day (about 3 to 4oz of fruit for lunch and 3-4 oz of veggies for dinner).

I don't know how old or how big your LO is but DS is 7 months and about 16.5 lbs. He drinks about 4-5 oz every 2-3 hours during the day and 3 oz bottles 3 times a night. (whenever he wakes up)
We feed on demand with DS, but I can tell you what works for us. He is 8 months and weights 17.8lbs. He usually takes 4-6oz every 2-3 hours. I make a 4oz bottle and if he finishes that and wants more, I make 2oz more. He also take 2-3 4oz bottles during the night, which is from 9p-9a for us.
I would say to start out with 4oz at a time. See if that seems like enough for one feeding and adjust it from there. It should be fairly easy to figure out a schedule for your LO once you know how much/how often they want to eat.
