So my husband loves to suck on my boobs and now that I am 18 weeks he's even more excited the closer we get to the due date to try my milk....so long story short he sucked on my boobs and swears he tasted something. In denial I backed off and just happened to squeeze them to see if anything would come out and guess what!!!! Some "juices" did come out! Please tell me that is normal and what the heck it was that came out. I feel soooo weirded out now. Anyone else experience this yet????

Most likely colustrom (sp?). I was always told not squeeze (or in your DH's case suck) your nipples during this time. I could totally be wrong, but that is what I have heard. I remember with DD I had some of that, but it wasn't until I was 30+ weeks along...closer to my due date.
Goodbye little angel(7/22/2011)....see you in heaven
Goodbye my second angel (9/18/2011)
probably would not make a habit of this
Then came a miscarriage March '11
Then came a baby in the baby carriage May 16, 12
Waiting on our second little peanut!
It's called Liquid Gold because it's so rich in nutrients for baby, not because it's gold in color. If you're leaking from your breasts while pregnant, it's very likely colostrum, and not unusual to leak this early. I don't know that I'd actively try to express it though. And be sure DH eases up on his...ummm, passion...as you get further in pregnancy; nipple stimulation can bring on contractions that can be difficult to control and/or stop.
I wouldn't worry about that. You have to be doing nipple stimulation for a LONG time to really get things going unless your body is already ready to go into labor - in which case you're going to probably be full term or past anyway.
Agreed. To add to my above, your body will provide exactly what it needs for the baby. Her DH isn't going to take it all. If they want to keep up with it, and they're okay with it. More power to them ;-)
I started leaking at 20 weeks. Totally normal.
BUT I probably wouldn't let your husband suck on your boobs any more. That could trigger contractions.
A lot of doctors are now advising to quit BFing by 20 weeks for that very reason.. because they don't want any unnecessary contractions.

I have pierced nipples too. I've had them pierced for the last 8 years.
It's dead skin. It's not milk or anything fluid related. It's dead skin. I clean my piercings every day even though I don't have jewelry in because my nipples. No matter what your skin sloughs off and it's an accumulation of it in the piercing. It doesn't matter if you have jewelry in or not, you will still have it.
Thanks! That was going to be my response too!
No problem!
haha this made me laugh, sorry, not meanly. "liquid gold" refers to the preciousness of it, it is actually clear then the milk comes in white
I just googled what color is colostrum and several sources said a yellowish color, I in fact have some come out if I squeeze doc said colostrum it was very yellow! And I showed my doctor since the bright color alarmed me

If my husband ever said that to me I wouldn't let him near my tits again! Not sexy.
i think its totally normal to be curious and want to try the milk lol it sounds weird but honestly who cares, heck i might try it myself! Go on and let your hubby enjoy as long as your ok with it then why not!
Oh I didnt say to stop because It might be wierd, I said to stop because thats what i was always told from doctors and lactation consultants. its been 13 years since I had a baby so maybe there have been updates, but i would definitely ask before you continue. I tried my breastmilk, and so did my first husband. i am sure my new husband will too. but not the colostrum. I also tasted the formula when I switched to bottle feeding. I thought the formula was GROSS.
I believe the white stuff is just "body butter" as we called it when I used to work at a piercing shop. I removed my piercing years ago, but I still get the white stuff ocassionally.
