Um, we will still do all of those things.  It is not that hard.  Just raise a kid that knows how to behave in public.  And people do travel all over the world with children.  It's not that hard.  I love in a tourist destination and people always bring their kids here.

This!!! My boss says that to me ALL the time, like my life is over once we have a kid. So does my DH's sister. Just because her kids can't behave in public and make it so every little outing turns into a project does NOT mean out life is going to be like that.

And I hate when people say, "Are you ready for THAT???" when a kid or baby does something negative. Of course there's going to be moments like that, but everyone has those!

I don't understand why "My Favorite Things" and "Seasons of Love" are Christmas songs.  They don't have anything to do w/ Christmas.

I hate owl nurseries.  I think it's over done and owls remind me of the 70s.  Maybe it's because my Grandma collected owls and had all sorts of ugly owls from that era.

If you're not going to do anything about your situation in life then quit complaining about it!  By not doing anything you're choosing to remain in that situation.

I have no idea why...nothing against the word Nursery or anything.  Random, I know.

I have to agree with not understanding cloth diapering. I get it's better for the environment and disposable diapers have dyes in them blah blah blah but I still think it's disgusting and so much more difficult. Hey more power to those who want to do it but I personally would not.

I hate the crap on children's clothes, too, especially when it comes to boys clothes. We are having a boy and I refuse to buy him any clothing that has sports stuff all over it or freakish looking cartoon characters, etc. I think it looks cheap.

I also don't see the big deal about using certain traditional baby products because they supposedly have toxic chemicals in them. As far as I know, no one ever died from using Johnson & Johnson products so I don't feel the need to use all these so-called "natural" baby products. You never know what your child might have an allergy or reaction to and if I spend my life worrying about what might harm my child (besides the obvious stuff), I'll go insane. I am a well-educated person with good judgment. My son doesn't need to be the boy in the plastic bubble.

TOTALLY AGREE w/pp on the Christmas cards w/too many pictures.  That's an AW-fest.

I think sending out Christmas photo cards w/no personal message, with preprinted to and from address labels, is so lazy.  What's the freaking point?
