9 weeks pregnant and none of my friends are pregnant with me in NY, No one to relate to

Newly pregnant and excited. However, none of my girlfriends are pregnant and can relate.

I was hoping when I got married and we had a kid, we would meet more couples to socialize with and may also be expecting or have kids.

So hard to meet new people in your 30's and I feel so alone in my pregnancy.

 My friends go out and party. I wanna do other stuff and have people to talk to.

This is our 1st baby and I am just beyond thrilled

Congrats.

As Ambsies said, once your LO arrives you'll meet other moms in your shoes. And you may meet people in childbirth classes, etc.

But you'll have to put forth some effort too. If your friends are still in the partying phase, find ways to meet new people who are in a similar position to yours.

Im sorry that you feel so alone

 

Try picking up a hobby or taking parenting classes in your neighborhood. That should help you meet new people.
