I worked with a Niall who pronounced it "Neil." He was Iranian.

Nye-all is how I would pron it, but it reminds me of the Sookie Stackhouse novels.

I pronounced it Nye-all. I've known a few and they have all used this pronunciation.

I think the Neil pronunciation is Irish.

The NIE-ahl pronunciation is Scottish.

Or maybe it is the other way around. I prefer NIE-ahl. I like Neil too, but spelled Neil.

I think it's the other way around...all 3 Nialls I knew when I lived in Ireland pronounced it Nye-all. Although I don't know any Scottish people with this name so I can't be certain.
