Fighting to go to sleep after 7months

LO is fighting/ screaming when I put her down for bed.  She did not do this at all until this past weekend.  She has screamed for 10 minutes at least before falling asleep. Can't figure it out....new toys she got and loves playing with, or that we lowered her crib. (took a mattress out).  I don't know what to do.

Chloe started doing this recently.  I believe it's because she is so aware of everything and loves to be on the go and playing with toys that it's hard for her to transition to sleep.  With that in mind we tried standing with her in her room with the lights out for a few minutes before putting to bed (and nap).  This works very well.  We've been doing it for about a week and she has only fussed a few times when we put her down.  No more screaming.  I hope you find what works for you!

This is currently happening with our LO.  For about a month she was able to settle herself and fall asleep on her own.  This past week I have to nurse her to calm her down before she will sleep.  I agree with pp, she is into practicing all her new skills and is go go!  I think & hoping this is just a phase.

We went through the same exact thing for about a week. This is when we realized our LO did not want to sleep on her back or side anymore. So we started putting her on her tummy still semi awake before bed and she would fall asleep on her own after only a few minutes. It is like clock work now.......same thing for naps as well.
