Daycare Update

So, I tossed and turned all night because I was so pissed.  DD got up this morning all cheery like nothing happened, of course.  

Anyway, her teacher mentioned it first thing when I walked in this morning.  Said she wondered why Alice was so upset yesterday.  I showed her Alice's arm and the picture.  I explained that I wasn't upset about the bite, but about the fact that Alice was standing there crying without anyone comforting her or trying to figure out what was wrong.  She kept trying to talk about the bite so I told her at least 3 times that it was very upsetting to me to see my child in hysterics without being attended to.

So, she sat down and apologized to me and to Alice.  She picked A up and said she'd talk to the director about it.  I told her I was also going to talk to the director.  I had to go to the building next door (also daycare) to find the director and when I did I explained the situation.  The director looked LIVID and said that was never going to happen again, apologized, and said she'd take care of it.  I know she will, as the few things I've mentioned to her before have always been resolved quickly.

I think it was better that I talked to them this morning as I was still upset but not freaking out.  As a side note, I pity the fool that ever has to come into contact with my inner Mama Bear.  She's a real B.

Glad to hear that everything went this well. I've heard many stories of daycares blowing off incidents like this, so I appreciate that they are taking the situation seriously!

She really is.  She looked at me sternly and said, "That won't happen again."

I have to admit I was a little scared myself.
