Bday...not so bad!

I really thought I would hate today, as it no longer marks my birthday but rather a month after we discovered our little one was no longer with us.

I guess I'd been dreading it so much that it no longer feels awful. I had second thoughts this morning about getting out of bed but received a few calls that made me optimistic. As I down the stars, I discover a wonderful surprise: DH cleaned the entire living room and kitchen!!! I was so stoked I cried! (let me tell you last night that kitchen was a mess). Then I found a sweet little card.

Then I come on this board and I am further uplifted. Here I have been feeling sorry for myself bc SIL is pregnant but reading some of your stories are humbling. Some of you have endured so much more and are still here hopeful and strong. You gals are truly inspirational!

     BFP on Cycle 17 09/27/12. EDD 06/04/12! Please Stick Baby! A/S 01/22/13 Baby looking great. Officially TEAM BLUE! Jack is getting a Baby Brother! RCS scheduled for 05/29/13. William Daryll born at 9:59am on 05/29/13. Left ovary and tube removed due to peach sized tumor found during RCS. Pathology came back benign!

    Happy, happy birthday!

    I am in the same boat with a pregnant SIL who sent me a supportive card and letter as well as an edible arrangement after my M/C but said zilch to me in person at Thanksgiving.  Ugh mixed messages!   I hope your situation with your SIL is less awkward than mine is!

    Happy birthday - your DH gave you the perfect gift!   So glad it turned out better than you were expecting.  I totally agree about the humbling stories, as well.  I had learned so much from being on this board for the short time I've been here.

    Today is my bday too!! And we found out on Nov 17th that we lost our baby as well. I thought I was going to spend the day crying and wishing for my baby but instead I've decided to focus on what I do have today. I got a great video from my sister this morning of my godchild telling me happy birthday and I think that was the best thing I could have received all day.
