We've been married 8.5 years and Jay lost his ring just earlier this year. Has no idea where he put it. I'm pissed. If it was just a month into the marriage, I'd be really really pissed.
yes. mine did exactly that... while drunk tubing the guadalupe. and called me drunk at the end of the float trip to mumble something like 'baaaabe, i'm schooo schooooorry'
pissed.
now? it doesn't bother me anymore and of course he's been able to keep perfect track of the cheap james avery silver ring that cost about 1/10 of the wedding band he lost
It would depend on the circumstances. DH lost his first band about 8 mos after we got married. He was swimming in Lake Travis and it fell off and he didn't even know it. He was sure he'd lose it in the lake and I told him that was a stupid thing to worry about...I ate my words that day.
If he lost it due to circumstances that I deemed in his control or irresponsible, yep I'd be a little upset. As it was, I was just sad and a little sentimental.
No biggie. I got DHs rings for free, went to a bridal show and got a gift card in the pre registers bag for two free rings, I paid s&h and engraving fee. I got two rings that cost $1000 for 80 bucks. Plus they sent me another gift card for two free rings to give to a friend. I still have it though...

Mine did this too 3 months after we got married....except it was in the Blanco and he wasn't even tubing, he was just goofing around. In his defense, it was a little big for him.
We intentionally got DH a cheap ring because we knew he would lose it often. He's misplaced it more times than I can count, luckily we've found it every time so far.
Honestly, neither of us could tell you its current location. It might be in the junk drawer. Or sometimes it gets mixed up with my makeup. On the dryer?
It doesn't bother me. Its just a ring.

Between yes and no. Depends on the circumstances (was he super irresponsible or did it slip off?) and was it expensive? My DH loses everything, so we didn't get him a super expensive ring. Suprisingly, he hasn't lost it yet though.
Im also not a get angry for a long time kind of person. I would be more disappointed, and I would let him know he responds better to me saying in disappointed than pissed anyway. Then he feels guilty, versus defensive, KWIM? And let him know that he better fix it, pronto.
Eh, I might be a little irritated but probably not pissed. We got DH a cheap ring b/c I figured he might lose it Sure enough, he left it in a golf cart and couldn't find it when he went back to look. Replaced it with another cheapie. Now, my friend's DH lost a very expensive ring tubing the river (what is it with guys wearing their rings while tubing?) and that I would probably be pissed about.
I voted snowflake, but I'd most likely be pissed. Here's my exception: a former co-worker was drying her hands in a public restroom and her ring came off in the towel. It went straight into the nasty public trash can. She dug through all of it () and eventually found it. I think in situations like that I wouldn't be as upset as if, say, he took it off and left it laying about (for whatever reason).
Yes, I'd be pissed. My rings got stuck on my finger during my pregnancy with Alex, and I did everything I could to get them off. Finally my finger was swelling and turning purple so Mike had to use a tool and cut through both bands, and he was upset about that. He was mad at ME for squeezing the rings onto my hands when I should have left them off. I can't imagine how pissed he'd be if I lost one of my rings.
Nah, I wouldn't be pissed. To me, its even more forgivable early on like that b/c he's probably not used to wearing a ring at all and really, things do happen.
Assuming there was some reasonable explanation, I don't think I'd be overly upset. Things happen and I'm sure he didn't do it on purpose.
Same here, plus what Nannan said about him maybe not being used to having a ring to keep track of. And the circumstances would dictate whether I'd be pissy about it, but generally I'd not even be very pissy, unless he was just acting stupid and irresponsible.
My DH lost his ring on our honeymoon. I was super pissed at first but now I'm just over it. What was more frustrating is he waited 2 years to buy a new ring because he didn't want to spend the money. I finally just bought it for him because I was done with him being single
Moral of the story... okay to be pissed now but you will get over it. Doesn't mean he loves you any less.

My DH hates jewelry. Doesn't even wear a watch.. He is on ring #3 now.
This will probably freak some people out but he keeps his cheapo 3rd ring on his key ring. He normally has his key ring with him but doesn't have to wear it.
If he wore it, we would be on ring 30 by now as he takes it off whenever he types or does anything.
That being said, I don't always wear my wedding ring. I am not a big jewelry person either. I know in my heart that we are married...don't need a ring to prove it.
DH lost his 6 weeks after the wedding. We purposefully bought a $45 band in case he lost it. He jumped into to the flooding Frio River and when he got out, the ring was gone.
I was upset because of the sentimental value, but I got over it pretty quickly and we bought another cheap band.
DH lost his a month after we got married. somewhere between work and home, it fell off his finger somehow. it was titanium and only cost about $80, so we just ordered a new one online. if it was platinum or gold and cost a few more $$, i'd be disappointed, but he felt really bad about losing it, and in the end, it wasn't a big deal.

I would be pissed. Unless there was an unfortunate incident with a suitcase and a broken toe, then I'd call it even steven with a smile
Kidding!! Yeah, I'd be mad too.

So basically if he lost one, he has another.
