Could be a December baby

So I have been having lots of contractions and low back pain. Went for my appt today and I am dilated to a 3 and 80 percent effaced. Dr said that they would not stop my labor at this point as she seems to be doing well. I am not in active labor so still going to continue with my routine. Reality kind of kicked in that we could be expecting her anytime. It seems kind of early but we are all ready for her!

Best of luck to you!  Hope she stays put for as long as she needs but sounds like you will be good even if she decides to make an early arrival!

I am in a similar boat just 2 weeks further than you. I was on bed rest to stop LO from arriving and after 1 day of being up and about dilated to a 1.5 and effaced 50%. That may not seem like an accomplishment to most but I have never been happier!

My husband wants him to arrive next week so he and I can skip the never ending Christmas festivities with his enormous family (think like 40 people in a tiny house). I told him even if it happens today there is no way I would take a baby over there to be exposed to all of those germs!

I'm also in similar situation, this week I was 2cm, 80% effaced.My doctor says she predicts no more than 2 weeks. I'm a bit further along than you, though.

Then again, many women make great progress in the beginning and then go over their due dates.

I was told all of the same stuff. 1 CM dilated, anterior cervix, 70% effaced. OB pointed out that it could still be a while before I give birth, or it could happen really fast. The not knowing makes me nervous, but they also told me at this point my labor wouldn't be stopped either! Good luck
