Where to submit complaint?

We bought an LG Blu-ray home theater system last NYE. In late October, it stopped reading any discs. We sent it in for repairs because it had a 12 month warranty for parts, but we had to pay a $69 repair fee because the labor warranty was only good for 90 days.

We finally got a call back last week about it. The part they need to fix it is on back order without any ETA. They offered us a partial refund because we "got 11 months worth of use out of it." Are you freaking kidding me? I didn't really want the entire purchase price back, but I expected a unit back. They refused to send me a new (or even refurbished) unit.

Anyway, I want to submit some sort of consumer complaint about it. BBB won't really work because they are an international company. Who would I contact for this?

  • Also, they just sent me an email about extending my warranty for some price.

  • is there somewhere within the company you can contact, not the service/warranty people. I would start there, or the store you purchased from. They can usually tell you where to go, or give you a better # to contact. We had secret service #'s when I worked for Home Depot, they didn't go to everyone :)

  • Hmm, I have the same problem with my LG Blu-Ray... Sounds like we won't be buying anymore of their products. I too would start complaining. Sometimes making a public complaint like on the company FB page works.
