I don't see why not. THey aren't a liquid.

We traveled with allllll kinds of food due to allergies that they never knew about cause they didn't even ask. Liquids would have been different I'm sure but our food was no big deal.  We breezed through with enough for 5 people.

I've flown from el paso to Austin with frozen tamales.  Don't wrap them in tin foil or you will be delayed.  They just want to check that it isn't a bomb.

Great! I would surely get pulled from the flight if they tried to take them away before I board.

No, you should leave them here with me. 

But really, I've flown with tamales lots of times with no issue.  Yum!
