Sophie the giraffe teether ?

Based on multiple rave reviews here, I recently bought the Sophie the Giraffe teether. I just took it out of the box and was VERY surprised to find out it is a squeaker. Did I buy the right one??? I just totally wasn't expecting this! And my dog heard a single squeak and now is stalking poor Sophie. Before it actually gets used, I wanted to make sure I bought the right Sophie...
TTC for 3 years. Finally successful after 5 IUIs and 2 cycles of IVF. Our amazing twins were born 5 weeks early on 8/16/11. Found out April 2012 that our di/di twins are ID.

    Yep, Sophie squeaks.

    Although I submerge her in water to wash her and now her squeak is sad.

    Yeah, she squeeks. Washing her messes up her squeek but after she dries out it comes back. I was skeptical but DS #1 LOVED Sophie and she is also the twins favorite teether by far. What is funny is that William always chews on her face and Daniel always goes for her legs. Babies are weird!

    I kind of wish Sophie didn't squeak. My dogs eyes light up the second he sees or hears Sophie. I don't think she is going to last long when she comes down from her shelf!

    Yep, it's the right one. Seems incredibly simple but the babies love it.  Sophie is still a favorite even at 13 months old.

    Yes, I'm worried about this, as my dog chews through supposedly indestructable dog toys (and he's not a huge dog, only about 35 pounds!). Maybe a couple strategically placed holes will stop Sophie from squeaking, as I'm not sure she'll last otherwise!

    Yep! That's the one. I have no idea why sophie needs to sound like a dog toy... but I still say she's magic even still at 16 months old!

    Yup, she squeeks.  We didnt have a dog so it wasn't an issue for us.  But we were visiting my in-laws a few weeks ago and my girls just got some squeeky shoes and the dog was going nuts for them and couldn't figure out where it was coming from.  Good luck keeping the dog away!

    It is the right sohpie.  The twins and our dogs love the squeaker :)  It is fun times in our home when sophie is being played with.
    U/S#1 showed 2 heartbeats! U/S#2 showed Baby A's heartbeat was 157 and Baby B 's heartbeat was 183! U/S#4 showed Baby A is a Boy (heartbeat 161) and Baby B is a Girl (heartbeat 159)!! Lilypie Second Birthday tickers
