When I actually give her a sippy, I put Motts for Tots Apple Juice in it. I don't want to put formula in there because she still hates the sippy and it goes to waste.
I don't think juice is as evil as some people think it is. The Motts has no sugar added and I usually water it down even more. When she's actually taking a sippy, I plan on offering different things (milk, water, juice). I don't think anyone should have to eat/drink the same thing all day every day, but maybe I'm crazy?
She gets a sip of grape juice on Friday night and Saturday afternoon because it's part of the Sabbath ritual. She gets SUPER excited when she hears us reciting the blessings.
I actually do think juice is not a great thing to drink regularly and I want her to be used to drinking water, so she gets water in a cup from time to time and then BM straight from the "tap" most of the rest of the time. We're not really doing a sippy cup at all. It's something I'm trying to figure out.
no juice yet, not sure if I will offer it or just stick with milk or water for awhile. I don't want to be crazy about denying her things, because my mom did that with me. I grew up sneaking candy and other sweets because I was never allowed to have them, they became a big deal and a fixation.
This is such a controversial topic..I think juice is like baby crack..so I avoid it unless he is constipated. Then, I water it down. I don't want it to become a bad habit/addiction to sugar...(as I scarf down 3 Oreos and some hot chocolate)

My pedi used this exact line so I haven't given any. DH has tried to sneak soda - I wanted to knock him out! Thank goodness he asked first!! I was like NO ARE YOU NUTS????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DD doesn't even care about juice. I gave her some apple juice yesterday for constipation and she stopped between every sip to "talk" and growl at me. The kid loves her formula though!

We haven't yet. Right now he is happy with formula/milk and water. I am sure we'll introduce it in the next 4-6 months as an occasional beverage.
