Since we started giving DD solids (5 months old), we give her solids first, then her bottle. But now (8 months today), I see she's not as interested in her bottle so I'm thinking about giving that to her first (so she's still getting the proper nutrients). Just wondering what order you are doing?

Re: Do you give solids before bottle or vice versa?
You are supposed to bottle/BF before you give solids so they don't fill up on nutrient deficiennt foods and refuse formula/BM. Solids are only for 'practice' at this stage.

I give them to her at completely separate times.
6 a.m.- bottle
8 a.m.- solids
10:30- bottle
noonish- solids
2:30- bottle
5:00- solids
6:30-7 P.M.- bottle
We don't and have never given them together. Solid meals are 1-2 hours after she nurses. We've had no problems - she nurses well and eats solids like a champ.
I always wait an hour after bottle to give solids. LO set this schedule.
6am - bottle
7am - solids
9:30 - bottle
1:30 - bottle
5pm - bottle
6pm - solids
8pm - bottle
We pretty much follow the same... I'm glad to see that! My DH said he thinks I'm weird that I don't do bottle and solids at the same time!
