HELP! Rec your diaper rash cream (cloth diapers)

Hi Ladies! I haven't posted in a few months, but I need your advise! My DD has had diarrhea for the past week and has just developed some pretty bad diaper rash, but I am not sure what to use on her with the cloth diapers. Does anyone have any suggestions? TIA!

  • You can use any cream with a liner, but we use California Baby without a liner and it works well. They rarely get rashes but when they do CB clears it right up.

  • Thanks! Can you get that at BRU?

  • Not sure, but I buy mine at Target.

  • I haven't used California Baby, but thought I'd give you another option as well.  We use Boudreaux's Butt Paste.  Fantastic stuff!  You can purchase it pretty much anywhere (Target, Walmart, Amazon, etc..)

  • We use the GroVia stick, and we have since day 1. It's safe for cloth diapers even without a liner. DS has almost never had a rash, and if he starts to get one then the stick clears it up within hours.

We got it at a local cloth diapering store, but they might have it at BRU.

  • We use CALMOSEPTINE - it's OTC but usually behind the pharmacy counter.  It was recommended by pedi & it rocks!

  • I get an RX from the pedi and compound Magic Butt Cream. I have a huge tub of it, it's the best stuff in the world :)

  • We use CJ's BUTTer, but we've never had a major rash to resolve.

  • I use Aveeno, which is borderline CD safe.  I have to use it so infequently it hasn't caused any issues.  I also use California Baby, but it doesn't seem to work as well.  I've also had 1-2 bas rashes caused by starting solids that I just used Bourdeaux But Paste and a sposie and it cleared up within a couple changes.

When we were still using our cotton prefolds, I was using white petroleum as recommended by the pedi.  The prefolds were pretty much handled anything I threw at them.
