So I thought Grayson had started smiling. He's 3mths old one month adjusted. He'd seem to smile when he was full but then he'd spit up. He'd seem to smile when I talked to him then he'd toot...Plus he wont really make a whole lot of eye contact. He will look up at the ceiling more than anything else. There are other full term babies that are smiling and are only about a week under his adjusted age that I know. Am I just being impatient or what?!!
Re: still not really smiling
He is only one month adjusted, which is very little and early for smiles. Try not to over think things (the eye contact as well...he is just looking around and checking out his environment, which is normal).
It will come!

I wouldn't worry. My twins didn't start having social smiles until 7-8 weeks adjusted. That felt like such a loooong wait. For weeks I thought they were about to smile and then all of a sudden they started. The best time to catch smiles is first thing in the morning for us.
