I just discovered Barnes & Noble offers Storytime. I'm not exactly sure what ages it's for and it doesn't specify on their website. Anyone been to one? Did LO like it?
We've gone a few times. DS doesn't always listen to the entire stories, but he still has fun. I'd say the books at ours are more targeted for preschoolers, and they usually color afterward.

Thanks! Finn will try to touch the other kids, so if we go we'll stay in the back. We're in the process of going to 1 nap and I really need to find things to do in the mornings.
We've done them a couple of times. DS will sit for a little while but then wants to get up and play with the train set they have at ours. I would agree with the pp, the books are probably for 3 and up but all ages go to ours. there is usually a craft of some sort after the story. Either way it gets you out of the house and around other kids/parents. Def go and check it out!

they're usually pretty cute. One of the B&Ns nearby does a puppet version every so often and we always try to go to that one. They let the little kids come up and pet the puppets afterward and LO likes being able to touch them. Usually though they are geared towards the preschool age but it's still a good and inexpensive thing to get us out and about.
We went to one but DD was a little young for it. It was aimed at the preschool age group (3-5). We prefer our public library Mother Goose story time which is aimed at 2-3 yrs olds (and in a contained room!).
We went for a long time (starting when DS was about 4 months) mostly to see my friends and their babies, but now that the LO's are older they couldn't care less. All DS wants to do it look at the Thomas or Cars displays, so we have stopped going.

I use to go while on maternity leave to get out of the house and talk to other moms. There were 1-2 year olds but mainly 3-4. I enjoyed Baby Time at our public library. It was in a meeting room and for babies under 2. Shorter stories that we repeated, a couple of short songs, and a puppet show story.

Hi FLIP_FLOPS! Glad I found you over here
I haven't found a time that would work for me locally. Most of them in my area are done during the week.
5lbs 9 oz, 18.5 inches long
6 months: 16lbs 15 oz, 27 inches long
Hi! According to my B&N's website, they do them during the week and one day on the weekend. You should check that out!
Thanks everyone! Our library has Baby Time as well which is for 0-2 year olds, so we're going to start going to that too.
