Dropped and Thinning!

I just came back from my appointment and the nurse said she could feel the baby's head and that my cervix is thinning. I know it really doesn't mean anything other than things are progressing as they should, but I can't help but be a liiiiiittle bit excited that our baby girl may be here sooner than we thought. :-) 

Anyone else have happy progress news? 

ETA: Holy cow, I'm a watermelon!!

Last week (end of 35 weeks) I was a finger tip dilated and cervix was soft! Can't wait to see if there is more progress on Fri! Here's to hoping for earlier rather then later!!

At my appointment today, my OB said I'm 2cm dilated and 75% effaced!  I've been on bed rest for 8 weeks, so we've known for a while that our son was going to arrive early.  I am just hoping he'll stay in until 37 weeks!

at 34 weeks I was closed for shop when the dr checked me (although that's not why he was down there) but since he was down in that area I had him check anyways.  I'm actually avoiding having the drs check b/c I really don't want this baby coming early.  We still have a lot of preparation to do and I am in denial that this kiddo could come early.

DD was 4 days late, and while I know that's not SUPER late, I have always had in my mind that this baby will be late or right on time, too.  Anything different and I will be completely unprepared!

Congrats to all of you- that's exciting news!  I wish my kid would drop already- she's still carrying very high at 36+ weeks- can't wait to get my breath back!

Oh my! How exciting!!

I am way behind you, but I wonder if my OB will feel baby's head soon. She feels reaaaaally now and walking is painful because of pelvic floor pain.

At 33 weeks my cervix was soft and LO had dropped. Keeping my fingers crossed when I go to my appointment this week I am dilated.

I'm 36 weeks on the dot today...and still 3-4cm dilated and 70% effaced...no change from last week and bed rest continues until next tuesday when i'll be considered full term..
