I can only seem ro find RF and FF weight limits. Does anyone know what the height limits are for both RF and FF? DS is tall and I want to find a converstible seat that will fit him for as long as possible.
Thanks. I did look at this before, I just don't get why there isn't a RF height limit. I get that they're saying anything 49" or less is fine, but I'm sure DS's legs aren't going to fit RF before he hits 40lbs. I guess I'll just have to make the call based on his comfort.

The limit is the same for both, that's why it's in the middle of the FF and RFing columns. At least, that's how I read it.
I've seen plenty of posts on this site w/ four year olds who are still RFing, they just fold their legs and sit cross legged in the seat. I don't know that we would go that long, but we'll be RFing until she exhausts the limits.
They outgrow RF when their heads are 1 inch below the shell and FF when their ears are even with the shell. It is possible to outgrow the seats before the stated limits if they are long-torsoed. As for legs...broken legs can be fixed, so they aren't going to tell you to turn the kid bc legs are too long. Hope that helps...this convertible stuff can be confusing!

Also, if you have a tall kid, try the Radian. It has one of the tallest shells. My DS is tall too and I was told specially to stay away from Britax bc their shells are shorter. Their height limit is 57".
