Today my little one is getting hers...( feeling a little nervous). I've heard that it's three injections and one liquid? Is this true? Which shots did your little one get at two months? I bought Little Tummies Fever and Pain reliever just in case.
Yes, mine got 3 shots, i cant remember exactly what they all were, and the liquid; rotovirus. He did fine with the liquid, but screamed when he got the shots. He stopped crying and fell asleep by the time we left the office. We got the pain reliever/fever reducer too, but he didn't even need it. He had one short moment of fussiness that night, but otherwise acted no different than usual.

Honestly, not bad at all! I gave him Tylenol and even though he screamed for a second when he was injected, he calmed down quickly and seemed pretty normal the rest of the day.
July 20th, 2012: Never forget the day the fb douchebags tried so hard, but ultimately failed. Viva la October 2011! Yeah, I called you douchebags.

I re-onesied her right before her shots, and she HATES things going over her head (like clothing), so my DD was already screaming. She kept on screaming for the vaccinations, and was asleep fifteen minutes later. Had a very sleepy day and STTN that night just like she had been. The next day was rough. Projectile vomit (the suspect: rota vacc). Extreme fussiness, wouldn't nap. And she also wouldn't STTN that night.
For 4-month vaccinations, I'm planning on not leaving the house the next day. But every LO is different.

My LO got a shot in each leg and then a liquid by mouth. He cried a little at each shot (he had been asleep before they did it), but quickly settled down (tough kid!). He made a face at the liquid at first, but then it seemed like he kind of liked it. I guess he was interested in a new taste. He slept for a few hours after the shots and woke up cheerful so I never gave him any acetaminophen. He BF'd and then went back to sleep and when he woke up again he was crying such a sad cry. He looked really pale. I was at my mom's and we gave him some Pedia Care and he went back to sleep. So, for the rest of the day he pretty much just slept and when he woke up he would cry and whimper and seemed as if it hurt when he moved his legs. We gave him another dose of P.C. about 5 hours later and that helped. He seemed back to his normal self by about 9:30 that night and was good the next day. So, anyway, ih my experience it took a few hours for the shots to bother him so be ready with the acetaminophen!
I gave mine the tylenol 30 mins before we got to his visit. He screamed when he recieved the shots and passed out pretty quickly. He was pretty sleepy for the next couple of days and we gave him the tylenol for 3 days after. Just to make sure he was okay.
We had ours last week: 2 shots and a liquid. She obviously cried when the shots were given but calmed down quickly afterwards and then I noticed virtually no side-affects afterwards. Besides sleeping in the car on the way home from the appt (she usually screams in the car), she was her normal self the rest of the day!

My DD had gotten colic by the time she had her 2 month shots so she was already fussy. I gave her infant's tylenol before we left the house to help with the pain. She has 4 injections and one oral dose scheduled. Because she was a preemie and had skinny little legs they could only give her 2 injections and the oral rotovirus vac. She has to go back this Friday for the other 2 (one is for RSV b/c she's a preemie). She took the syringe just fine but screamed bloody murder with the shots. They made her lie on the table still with clothes off which they never do (normally I hold her and dr squats in floor with her) and held her legs down. That pissed her off enough but of course the shots hurt. She calmed down by the time we left but was hot and fussy for a couple days after. That's why I made sure to do it right before the weekend so I could be home with her.
My poor baby got four shots, two on each leg, and one liquid. He screamed for a bit then calmed down and went to sleep. We didn't have to give him tylenol or anything. He was pretty good afterward. Acted like normal.
My daughter did really good. She cried when she got shot, but I expected it to be a lot worse! The nurse we had was really nice and she had me sit my daughter on my lap so she was facing her. I couldn't see her face when she gave her the shots and that was definitely a good thing for me since I was tearing up the whole time!!! That way, I could concentrate on comforting her. Two hours after the shots, her temperature started to go up so we gave her one dose of acetaminophen. She was fine after that.
We had 3 shots and the oral rotavirus. It went very very quickly. He cried as soon as the first shot happened and probably didn't even realize there were two others. He calmed down as soon as I held him. He cried again when I put him down in the carseat and cried the whole way home, but was fine once we got there.
