Pre-School and Daycare

Ugh! That was torture!

Ok, not literally, but sheesh!  DS had his Christmas pageant for school tonight, and it was an HOUR and a HALF long.  Granted, it's PS-8th at his school, and PS went first before the more elaborate musical drama by the older kids.  However, that's 1.5hrs of entertaining a 19mo old, plus an hour and 15-20min of entertaining a 3.5yo.  I was expecting an hour or so tops.  It was HOT in there, and the audio was horrible making it hard to even hear.

Is it wrong that I'm already dreading sitting through next year's pageant???  I was really looking forward to it too.  Sad

  • We did that for DD's dance recital when DS2 was 3 months and DS1 was almost 2.75 yrs.  The next year, we got a sitter for DS2 and just brought DS1 who sat through the show.  It was much easier; I highly suggest it.  DD quit dance but I can't see bringing both boys again for another year or so.  We'd get DS2 a sitter again.   2 boys together and its a mess...they fead off each other.

  • Ds has his program on Friday. I am under the impression that it's just his class doing it at that time and I pray I'm right. I can't imagine trying to sit, be quiet and entertain like you had to do.

  • Funny you bring this up :p  I have these little tween girls who babysit for us and one invited me to her choir concert the other night.  I was there for an hour and a half.  It was an orchestra/choir middle school combined choir.  I wanted to shoot myself mid way and by the time it was over I was dead to the world.  I'm not excited about these things!

  • I am a firm believer that the only people that want to see my DD sing/act/dance is me, DH, and the grandparents.  DD's program is on Friday and I hope it goes quick!
